Book II
A Hop Further Back in Time
At the end of Chapter 22 Daryl Streeter is almost comatose with grief after the death of an elderly Amazing Female Great American Lion at the hands of his fellow humans. Cleverly, I called that chapter "My Fellow Men."
Then the time travel button is pressed again (but only for author's POV; no actual people traveling) and the parallel plot cuts to the French Riviera 300 years earlier on. Let's see, that would make it 108,300 BC.
There is much news these days about how much Neanderthal we have in our genomes and what the effect apparently is. So what do you think humans would be like today if we were 50/50 "modern" human and Neanderthal? And Great Americans had not gone extinct!?
Another Amazing Female named "Fleet" starts the experiment.
AUDIOBOOK read by Olde Scooter hisself. Best of all, free.
